BTS dolls in Dubai
Recently, the first lady of South Korea, Kim Jung Sook , participated in talks in Dubai libraries to introduce Korean sports and entertainment. According to a post on a Korean website, the first lady gave seven dolls of BTS members in traditional South Korean dress (hanbok) to a store.
BTS hanbok dolls are limited edition and highly sought after in South Korea. Some users were encouraged to comment on the website. “I really want to buy it”, “I would love to have that set”, “BTS in traditional Korean clothing? That is a very moving gift”, were the most outstanding messages.
EXPO Dubai 2020
On January 16, K-pop artists such as Stray Kids, (G)I-DLE, PSY, Sunmi, and more performed their biggest hits at EXPO Dubai 2020 . According to the Yonhap Agency, the president of South Korea, Moon Jae In, greeted the idols backstage to give them encouragement so that they can continue to spread this culture globally.
Cube Entertainment's girl band (G)I-DLE performed with five members for the first time in public, following Soojin's departure from the group. Shuhua and Soyeon were chosen to replace the former member's parts in the songs presented at EXPO Dubai 2020.
